Ames, Iowa [8/22/2023] – Advance NIL (ADVANCE), an industry leader in Name, Image and Likeness (NIL), has partnered with Iowa State Athletics to provide proactive educational sessions to all Cyclone student-athletes during the 2023-24 academic year, school officials announced today.

“As the NIL landscape continues to evolve, we believe that it is important to equip all of our student-athletes with the resources to capitalize on NIL opportunities,” said Iowa State Senior Associate Athletics Director Shamaree Brown. “ADVANCE is the industry gold standard in providing proactive NIL educational opportunities to student-athletes, and we are excited to begin this journey with them during the upcoming academic year.”

As part of the agreement, ADVANCE will travel to Ames to facilitate educational sessions with Cyclone student-athletes, coaches and staff. The student-athlete sessions will focus on developing NIL opportunities, effectively marketing and utilizing NIL as well as education in the areas of taxes and contracts.  The sessions for coaches and staff will be geared around the ever-changing NIL landscape.

In addition to ADVANCE, Iowa State Athletics has collaborated with the Ivy College of Business on a series of educational sessions available to all Cyclone student-athletes, worked with CAMPUS-INK and INFLUXER to provide co-branded ISU merchandise opportunities for all Cyclone student-athletes and created the Cyclone Exchange through INFLCR to connect local businesses and student-athletes in the NIL space.
