East Lansing, MI [8/31/23] – Michigan State Athletics, home to the award-winning NIL Institutional Program EverGreen, has announced a partnership extension with a founding contributor Advance NIL (ADVANCE), an industry leader in Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) education, consulting and athlete development.

“From the outset, ADVANCE has helped Michigan State as we’ve developed and implemented our NIL programming,” said Darien Harris, Assistant AD for NIL & Special Advisor to the Athletic Director. “They’ve done a tremendous job educating our student-athletes and providing them all the tools to participate in NIL. The real-life examples and exercises have proven to be extremely useful and practical for our student-athletes as they navigate their own NIL opportunities.”

Through the extended partnership, ADVANCE will visit the Spartans on multiple occasions each semester to ensure cohesion and progression for all sports throughout the academic year. In year three of NIL, the priorities are practical real-world education for student-athletes and processes on how they can effectively navigate, market and protect themselves in NIL, as well as financial management, taxes and contracts.
